The Prom or the Road?

One wide expanse of empty Promenade, one busy narrow road with lots of parked cars. Which would you prefer to cycle on?

Worthing Pier is visible in the background, and you can see the old tram-line cycle lane from the late 1980’s. The “NO CYCLING” markings that were added when that lane was closed have now also been blacked out.
