The city of Utrecht fixes road mistakes
In the 1970s Utrecht City Council started replacing canals in the city with huge urban dual carriageways with multi-level junctions. Some was built, but local protests stopped the full ring road being built.
Now the urban dual carriageway is being removed, and the canals re-dug. The city works so much better, and is so much more pleasant without the motorways through its heart.
Now, when can we undo the disastrous urban dual carriageways in the heart of Worthing?
Wouldn’t Worthing be a nicer place to live, work and shop, without these dual carriageways?
